Chapter Update.- The Texas Chapter was approved as a provisional chapter on May 24, 2010 by the BCA International Board of Directors (IBOD). Current BCA members within Texas are automatically considered to be in the Texas Chapter. Oklahoma members are currently in the Southwest Chapter.
- The IBOD is researching how to handle member dues. Southwest Chapter will continue to receive 2010 dues already allocated. Any new member that comes on board from Texas will start to pay dues into the Texas Chapter (process to be clarified by IBOD).
- The goal for the Texas Chapter is to get permanent charter (by-laws, 503c status, bank account) by December 2010. In 2011, Texas member dues will go to Texas.
- The Board for the Southwest Chapter remains in effect. The Texas Provincial Chapter will establish a formation board of volunteers until the permament charter is approved. Once approved, the Texas Chapter leadership will hold elections for the Board of Directors.
- California/Nevada Chapter is planning to form their own chapter in 2011. Doug Chamberlin, David Jump, and Bradley Brooks will meet in June to discuss timeframe.
